The biggest and the most extravagant event in the Antal world – held in London each year, took place in Mumbai at The Leela on November 13 -14, 2014. The excitement of the conference being held in another country had already created a buzz in the Antal world. Apart from this, the conference was an important one for us, because we unveiled the new brand logo. It’s been 21 years since Antal International was founded by Mr. Tony Goodwin and this is the first time that the brand identity was transformed.

The Antal Global Conference celebrates passion for recruitment, entrepreneurship, and the spirit of Antal. Keeping this in mind, the organizing team planned various workshops and training sessions which added tremendous value to what we do and helped us get better at what we do best – Recruitment.

Day one began with Joseph Devasia, Managing Director, Antal International, India welcoming all attendees followed by lighting the traditional Indian lamp.

Our CEO Tony Goodwin then took over and launched our new brand logo and the website. As he launched the logo he explained why the change was needed and what our new logo signifies. He addressed the crowd saying “The need to use & harness modern technology to do our work more effectively has changed our way of communication. The new Antal logo symbolizes global reach, partnership and entrepreneurial spirit.” This was followed by loud applaud and cheering.

Tony Seager, our keynote speaker for the event took over for the next session where he spoke on ‘Developing a Winning Culture”, this session focused on how to infuse a winning culture into your business through performance and management systems and how to reinforce this winning culture through behavior and values.

An interesting feature that afternoon was a talk by Raghunath Medge – President of the Mumbai Dabbawala Association, a six sigma certified service. He described the management lessons that the Dabbawalas have gained over 120 years of their service; and how they keep themselves motivated.

The rest of the day included workshops on marketing, ways to boost profits and maximizing production performance.

The second day began with Doug Bugie, – President, Antal International Network, addressing the crowd about the year in review and the future strategy for Antal. “The agenda this year is to bring in fresh energy to international recruitment” – he said.

This was followed by another session by Tony Seager on “characteristics of a good recruiter, and hiring mistakes to avoid”.

Second half of the day had something fun and interesting in store for all the attendees _ a Bollywood Dance. The attendees were divided into groups and taught different Bollywood numbers which they performed after a fun hour of rehearsal. It was a refreshing change to see them loosening up and being in the moment, from the formal agenda.

The final event of this two day conference was the Antal Global Awards and Gala Dinner hosted by Joseph Devasia and Mike Ryall.

After this dinner, the whole Antal team put their newly acquired Bollywood dancing skills to good use, as they danced the night away.
